Workers in Ghana will see a 10 percent increase in the daily minimum wage from January 2018, the National Tripartite Committee has announced.
This development came after a meeting held between the government, labour and the employers association. As such, the minimum wage is set to increase from GHC 8.80 to GHC 9.68 daily. The committee has also directed that all establishments and organizations whose daily minimum wage is below the national directed wage to adjust it upwards, warning that those who flout the new rate would be sanctioned.
