Our client, an international relief and development agency with a presence in multiple countries including the USA and Ghana facilitating healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster, and disease, is seeking an Operations and Program Compliance Director to join the Team.
ROLE DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise Finance and Operations team at Africa Regional Office, including Office Manager, Office Assistant and Transportation Specialist

Responsible for financial management of Africa Regional Office operations
-
Ensure compliance with local Not-for-Profit and Non-Governmental Organization regulations
-
Oversee office contracts; office maintenance and expenditures; and office assets, including transportation/vehicles.

Lead human resource management
-
Ensure logistical support for meetings held in Ghana, including visits from staff, partner training meetings and other events
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, public administration or related field, and/or equivalent experience.

Ghanaian citizenship or residency with work authorization is required

A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience developing and managing audits and financial reporting with implementing program partners

A minimum of three (3) years of experience in non-profit finance roles
-
A minimum of two (2) years of direct supervisory experience

Understanding international non-profit accounting and financial requirements essential

Proven experience with budgeting and financial reporting

Experience with operations management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to manage, lead, and motivate staff members

Adept at managing complex or difficult situations with tact, diplomacy, and good humor

Excellent written and oral skills

Self-starter with strong management and organizational skills

Advanced ability to establish and build relationships with a diverse array of professional and community groups

Proven ability to collaborate effectively and produce high-quality work as part of team

Fluency in English is essential; Spanish, Portuguese, or French is also helpful
