CORPORATE PROFILE

Our client, a New York City based international relief and development agency facilitating healthier, more fulfilling lives in communities struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster, and disease, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their Human Resource Team. 

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will research, forecast, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This is an exempt remote position.

ROLE DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the talent acquisition strategy and process.

  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.

  • Develop targeted recruitment campaigns using various channels such as social media, internal job postings, and internal and external job boards.

  •  Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.

  • Schedules interviews and oversees the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience. At least five years of managing all talent acquisition strategies or recruitment phases. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred

RELATED SKILLS
  • Experience developing and implementing full-cycle recruiting strategies

  • Working knowledge of social media recruiting tools and techniques

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take the initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.

  • Proficient with applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Commitment to the organization’s values, cultural diversity, equity and inclusion efforts in the workplace.

  • Understanding of and compatibility with the principles and philosophy of the organization

    Strong interest in international development, grassroots empowerment, and gender equality

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS
     

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Annual salary range of $80,000-85,000.
