CORPORATE PROFILE
Our client, a forward thinking reputable real estate development company with a strong desire to transform and elevate African real estate is looking to add Quantity Surveyor to its team to manage projects.
The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers.
As a quantity surveyor, you'll seek to minimize the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality. This includes ensuring statutory building regulations are met.
ROLE DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.

Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.

Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
-
Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.

Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
-
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.

Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Sound knowledge of construction

Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
-
A valid driver's license.

Great networking abilities.
-
Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Track record of achievement in the Ghanaian real estate construction sector.

The ability to “hit the ground running” thanks to his/her network of contacts.

Good understanding of construction, surveying, negotiation and estimates.
