A boutique Digital Human Resources and Marketing consultancy company is seeking an HR Generalist and Consultant to establish a human resource department for clients. The ideal candidate will oversee the human resource function and identify gaps in HR practices for clients by taking an intensely objective look at their current HR policies, practices, procedures and strategies. Then prioritize these gaps in an effort to minimize lawsuits or regulatory violations, as well as to achieve and maintain world-class competitiveness in key HR practice areas for clients.

The company specializes in HR Assessments and Audits, Staff Development Training, Talent Recruitment, and Digital Marketing services leveraging technology to improve HR and Marketing systems that yield results and create a competitive advantage for businesses.


Role Description and Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the human resource office.

  • Administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

  • Review of the HR departments policies as it relates to employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

  • Originate and lead HR practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture.

  • Ensure employee safety, welfare, and wellness education.

  • Attend client meetings and facilitate staff meetings.

  • Collaborates with clients and department managers on HR related matters.

  • Assist and advice company managers on HR issues and best practices.   

  • Attends and participates in events relevant to the role. 

  • Research new trends and technologies to manage the HR Auditing process.

  • Establish professional working relationships with clients, candidates and other stakeholders.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Person Specification

Experience and Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or Organizational Development. Master’s Degree is a plus.

  • Five years of experience as HR Manager

  • Professional Certification (ex: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.



  • Thorough understanding of the human resource function.

  • Thorough understanding of technology.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - The job requires good listening, speaking, and writing skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, presentation and attention to detail-

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
