JOB TITLE:  Finance and Operations Officer

Our Client a FINTECH company focused on driving financial inclusion through the provision of simplified financial services on feature and smartphones is seeking a Finance and Operations Officer to be responsible for management of the finances of the company and for all tax and statutory engagements of the company. She/he will be tasked to providing operational direction to the operations and customer service teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bank partner relationships

  • Develop tools to monitor and ensure timely settlement of 3rd parties and banks

  • Provide prudent financial direction to the management of the company

  • Manage the finances of the company

  • Executes account set up and testing of new accounts for bulk payments and collection clients, ensuring that correct fees are being charged

  • Reviews and approves all financial transactions (cash, cheque, electronic) of the company

  • Supports the trainings of bulk payments and collections partners to enable them to manage payments on their own

  • Supports bulk payments and collections clients when they manage their own accounts, handling troubleshooting and issue resolution

  • Ensure the full compliance of the petty cash policy

  • Any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director


Competencies/Qualifications/skills /Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or its equivalent

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in corporate finance

  • Relevant Audit processing knowledge

  • Good level IT Literacy

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Internally motivated to seek out answers, generate solutions and develop new skills.

  • Strong analytical and co-ordination skills.

  • Capable to work under pressure and tight schedule independently

  • Be a strong team player
