ADVERTISING AND SALESPERSON
JOB TITLE: Advertising and Salesperson
REPORTS TO: CEO
FUNCTION: Sales and Marketing
LOCATION: Accra, Ghana
A reputable media house which has its branches across Africa is seeking an Advertising and Salesperson. The Advertising and Salesperson will work with the key management team members and is responsible for researching consumer markets, monitoring market trends and identifying potential areas in which to invest, based upon consumer needs and spending habits looking at the pricing of products and analysing the potential profitability, monitoring product distribution and consumer reactions through focus groups and market research and coordinating the launch programme to external customers as well as employees.
Preparation of periodic sales reports
Marketing planning and budgeting
Direct sales presentations
Developing a winning marketing strategy
Publicity and advertising planning, among others
Sell advertising to new accounts
Represent the magazine at related events
A minimum of a first degree in marketing or a related field
Minimum of five years of advertising sales experience in print media
Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal and oral or written communication skills
Exceptional organisation skills
Marketing or sales background preferred
Applicant should be comfortable working in and out the office, and comfortable with face to face contact with clients
Ability to work independently
