JOB TITLE:  Accounts Manager

WORKING AND HOURS: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Summary and Corporate Profile:

 

Our client, an IT and Data firm, is currently seeking an Account Manager with experience in sales, marketing, and business development who is passionate, well-spoken, fluent in English, and able to close colocation transactions.

 

The ideal candidate MUST be a team player, customer focused, courageous and passionate.

 

Role Description and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement direct sales strategy and annual plans for prospective and newly acquired accounts

  • Lead the prospective/new customer acquisition process from “lead to close”.

  • Support immediate post-sales activities as a primary customer contact

  • Prepare and facilitate customer hand-over

  • Ensure proper information maintenance in ZohoCRM

 

Experience and Education

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

  • Educated to Bachelor/Master level or equivalent through experience

  • 4 years post graduation work experience is a minimum.

  • Around 5 years of experience in a consultative selling area, preferable in IT Services/data center/telco/network environment.

  • Broad business network and contact database

  • Good understanding of Microsoft office applications

  • Good team-working skills

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Track record of sales achievement in the Ghanaian ICT market.

  • The ability to “hit the ground running” thanks to his/her network of contacts in the Ghanaian market.

  • Good understanding of cloud, enterprise digital transformation

  • Demonstrated understanding of direct sales and the data center industry

  • Keen understanding of the value of LinkedIn and other social media platforms for engaging with prospective customers

  • Pro-active attitude, can do mentality, can thrive on a relatively “high rejection/low hit rate” ratio

  • Ability to self-start, self-motivate, self-sustain, self-improve and work independently

  • Customer/business focus​

  • Excellent relationship skills

Salary and Benefits

  • Base $1000-2000, plus OTC
